THE EXPERIENCE
First Consultation & Measurement
Our Made-To-Measure or “Su Misura” process begins with a personal consultation in our Melbourne studio, or your home or office. We will discuss your specific needs and answer any questions that you may have.
You will be guided through our extensive range of the finest Italian and English fabrics and supported to select a design and suiting options. We will consider how you like to wear your clothing and particularly, where you’ll wear the garment.
During this consultation, you will also be carefully measured to ensure your garment is made to your unique physical characteristics.
Tailoring In Italy
Your measurements will be sent to our Italian workshop where our Master tailors will commence work on your order. They will cut your unique pattern (a template of your body), and handcraft your garment with care.
Please note, most Made-To-Measure companies have limited modifications they can make on an original standardised pattern. Our garments are cut and crafted exclusively by hand in Italy from Master tailors, assuring endless possibilities and final satisfaction guaranteed.
Your garment will be air-freighted with careful packaging to arrive in impeccable condition. Allow 8-10 weeks from your first consultation.
Fitting
Once your garment arrives, we schedule your first fitting and review any adjustments that may be required. We make all adjustments in house, usually taking 5 to 7 days. The garment is then sent to be professionally pressed, ready for final fitting and collection.
Collection Of Your Garment
We’ll make a suitable time for the final fitting and the collection of your Made-To-Measure order. You may choose for your final measurements to be kept on file for future commissions.
We thank you for allowing Càrnaval to showcase the art of handmade Italian tailoring.

CÀRNAVAL SU MISURA TROUSERS
Neapolitan trouser makers play an important role in the long history of tailoring in Naples and Italy as a whole. Everything is crafted by hand, from the buttonholes, bar tacks and even the waistband, following traditional methods, in an almost old-fashioned way.
Our Made To Measure trousers are cut freehand and constructed by hand, ensuring a superior drape, which in Italian we call, a pennello and in Neapolitan, a penniell, meaning brush like. These trousers can be made in a plethora of fabrics, styles and fit and are the perfect addition to any wardrobe, creating unique spezzato (mix and match) ensembles.
Starting at $999 AUD Allow 6-8 weeks.
We operate by appointment only and can arrange a time in Melbourne at 195 Little Collins Street, your office or your home.
