Our Gramsci, in royal blue and white stripes, is a menswear staple and pairs seamlessly with ties. Our men's shirts are handmade in Italy, and feature artisanal unaligned sleeves, handmade sleeve bar tacks, as well as handmade button and gusset attachments.
The sleeve attachment process on artisanal shirts is quite different to the more industrial shirts. Side seams are sewn from the bottom and closed under the armhole, the sleeve is then inspected for balance. Only then the shirt maker will proceed to attach the sleeve; hence the name unaligned sleeves. This process is also used in artisanal jackets to correct sleeve pitch. Both our Ready To Wear and Made To Measure shirts are crafted in this manner.
